Anthropic made its AI chatbot Claude Sonnet 3.7 fully manage its office vending machine for employees as part of an experiment. It said based on the experiment's results, it wouldn't hire its own AI. Anthropic said the bot made customers pay money to a fake account, didn't accept ₹8,500 for ₹1,300 six-pack soft-drink and got talked into giving huge discounts.
