An independent 60-page report by Australia's special envoy Aftab Maalik suggests that anti-Muslim sentiment in the country has hit "unprecedented levels". In response, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said that government would consider the report's recommendations. "Islamophobia in Australia has been persistent, at times ignored and other times denied, but never fully addressed," stated Malik.
