Apple is rapidly expanding its supply chain in India by not only sourcing components for iPhones but also manufacturing machinery to make these devices locally, Moneycontrol reported. Around 17 companies have directly started working with Apple in India for capital equipment and tools since 2024. Apple is increasing local content in India to match Chinese production levels by 2028.
