Apple has expanded its supply chain in India to nearly 45 companies, including local component makers and MSMES, ET reported. This has led to creation of over 3.5 lakh jobs, including 1.2 lakh direct jobs. The jobs created by the component suppliers are in addition to the hundreds of thousands of jobs generated by the five iPhone factories in India.
