A joint CESHS–NCPOR team has become the first to scale and study Dharkha Tso, a high-risk glacial lake in Arunachal's Tawang. During the 4th Khangri Glacier Expedition, scientists discovered aquatic life 20 metres deep in nearby Rani Lake, mapped glaciers using drones, and gathered vital climate and meltwater data to assess GLOF risks in the Eastern Himalaya.
