The Indian Army has now begun building a temporary Bailey bridge at the site of the collapsed section of the 4th Tawi Bridge in Jammu's Bhagwati Nagar. The collapse of the bridge amid heavy rainfall had disrupted critical connectivity across the river. The traffic on the bridge had to be halted and diverted, causing inconvenience to the commuters and locals.
