The Indian Army and IIT Madras have set up 'Agnishodh', the Indian Army Research Cell, on the institute's campus to boost self-reliance in defence technology. The research facility was inaugurated by the Chief of Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi, on Monday. The facility will focus on upskilling military personnel in fields such as wireless communication and cybersecurity, the government said.
