The Indian Army deployed the ATOR N1200 Specialist Mobility Vehicle (SMV) as part of the rescue operation in the flood-affected areas of Punjab's Amritsar. These all-terrain four-wheelers, manufactured at a Chandigarh-based facility, are designed for extreme environments and can be driven on land, water, mountains, snow, ice, mud, sand, and other surfaces. SMVs were used to evacuate stranded people.
