Lord Jagannath and his siblings Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra will be adorned with 208 kg gold ornaments during 'Suna Besha' ritual at the Rath Yatra festival in Puri. The ritual began during King Kapilendra Deb's reign in 1460, a Shree Jagannath culture researcher said. "The ornaments are made in mixture of gold, silver, precious stones," he added.
