Nearly 500 people were arrested on Saturday in central London for supporting the banned activist group Palestine Action, according to UK police. Around 1,000 took part in demonstrations around Trafalgar Square in support of the pro-Palestinian group. The group was proscribed as a terror organisation in July after some of its members broke into an airbase and damaged military planes.
