PM Narendra Modi, while addressing a gathering in Arunachal Pradesh's Itanagar, said, "The state got ₹1 lakh crore in last 10 years...16 times more than what it got during Congress rule." He added, "I knew Northeast couldn't be developed while sitting in Delhi, so I sent ministers, officers more frequently to region." He further said, "Congress neglected the state."
