The BJP-led Arunachal Pradesh government on Monday ordered the closure of 386 government schools that reported zero student enrolment in the current academic year. The decision saw the closure of schools in West Kameng (73), Papum Pare (50), and West Siang (31), among others. "[These schools raised] concerns over their administrative relevance and financial viability," an official said.
