Electronics and IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared a 52-second video on his X handle, giving a "simplified representation" of an "extremely complex process" of chip manufacturing. He shared that the process begins with silica sand, which is melted and purified into a pure silica ingot. "Silicon ingot is then...sliced into small wafers...And on this wafer, chip is fabricated," Vaishnaw said.
