Pakistan army chief Asim Munir called a meeting of top commanders after the Taliban successfully launched attacks on Pakistani military posts, News18 reported. Munir rebuked his commanders for "intelligence failure" and "lack of strategic depth" on the western side of Pakistan. He also asked the top commanders to provide a detailed answer on why the counter-offensive was not ready.
