ASP Akash Rao Giripunje was killed in action in a pressure IED blast in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district, state's Deputy CM Vijay Sharma said. Several police officials were injured and are said to be out of danger. Giripunje was on foot patrol duty to prevent Naxalite incident in view of call for Bharat Bandh on June 10 by CPI(M), police said.
