Assam has signed a Letter of Intent with the British Museum to bring the 16th-century Vrindavani Vastra to Guwahati for a 3 to 6 month display in 2027. CM Himanta Biswa Sarma called it a historic cultural milestone, marking the textile’s first return in over a century once the world-class museum facility is completed.
