PM Narendra Modi, while addressing a gathering in Assam's Darrang, said, "Today, India is one of the fastest-growing countries in the world, and Assam is also among the fastest-growing states." He added, "There was a time when Assam was lagging in development and couldn't keep pace with the country, but today it's progressing with a growth rate of nearly 13%."
