Amar Pran Changmai from Golaghat, Assam, has won the National Progressive Mushroom Grower Award 2025 by ICAR–DMR, Solan. A cultivator for 17 years, he produces 60,000 bags annually, supplying markets in Nagaland, Arunachal and Assam. Officials said his success highlights mushroom farming’s potential to boost rural livelihoods.
