Assam and Meghalaya have begun installing border pillars in Hahim, Kamrup district, to mark resolved boundary areas. This follows a June meeting between the two CMs, aiming to complete the process in six settled regions before August 15. Locals hailed the move as historic, as survey teams started work along the Gijang and Tirchang rivers.
