The Assam government stated that it'll give ₹1,000 each to all the state government employees in November, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Friday. CM Sarma stated that the initiative is part of the state’s decision to celebrate 2025 as the ‘Year of Books’. "With nearly four lakh employees, this will require around ₹40 crore," he added.
