CM Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the 16th-century Vrindabani Vastra, created by Srimanta Sankardeva, will return to Assam on loan from the British Museum for 18 months in 2027. The textile, depicting Lord Krishna’s life, will be showcased in a new museum built to international standards.
