At least 15 Punjabi youths have been recruited into the Russian army since July to fight in the Russia-Ukraine war, reports said. The youths are reportedly stranded and their families claim the Indian embassy has not responded to their calls for help. Congress MLA Pargat Singh criticised the Punjab Police for not arresting agents allegedly involved in the forced recruitment.
