Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan refused state-provided 'Y' category security, stating he will not accept it without a written official order. "How can I trust…the khaki-wearing, weapons-clad people are of the Uttar Pradesh government?" he said. He also highlighted his poor financial condition, noting that he currently cannot even afford a car for the security personnel to sit in.
