Bangladesh has declared August 5 as a national holiday to mark the ouster of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The interim government of Bangladesh led by Mohammad Yunus declared August 5 as a 'Student-People's Uprising Day'. It also announced that programmes will be organised between July 14 and August 5 to commemorate the uprising against Sheikh Hasina last year.
