Bangladesh's Supreme Court reinstated the registration of Jamaat-e-Islami, the country's largest Islamist party, more than a decade after it was banned by ex-PM Sheikh Hasina's government. Jamaat-e-Islami had its registration cancelled in 2013 after it was declared ineligible by High Court. The party, which supported Pakistan during the 1971 Liberation War, will now be able to contest elections.
