Extremist groups in Bangladesh, including Jamaat-e-Islami and Khilafat Majlis, have opposed government's plan to introduce music and dance teachers in primary schools, calling it 'anti-Quranic'. Fearing that it will lead children to lose faith in Islam, they also demanded that religious teachers should be recruited instead. Additionally, they warned to hold protests if their demands aren't met.
