Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged India's IT hub Bengaluru to lead the nation in becoming self-reliant in technology. "Bengaluru is developing as the symbol of New India...It has spiritual knowledge in its soul, tech knowledge in action...India can compete globally when our cities are smart, fast...efficient," PM added. He credited the city for putting India on the global IT map.
