A baby girl in Mexico was born with a two-inch-long tail, which was later surgically removed by doctors, according to a case report. Calling the presence of tails in humans "extremely infrequent", the authors of the case report said, "The structure was soft, covered in skin, and fine hair, it could be passively moved with no pain."
