US President Donald Trump's hiking tariffs on India to 50% is a "bad policy decision" for US and its citizens, an SBI report stated. India exports 35% of US pharma needs, and tariffs on it will "hurt US objective of reducing...size of general government and...objectives of DOGE". This will increase "out-of-pocket expenditure" of US private citizens, it stated.
