Bangladesh’s International Crimes Tribunal will formally hear charges against ousted PM Sheikh Hasina, with proceedings broadcast live on state-run BTV for the first time. Hasina, deposed after mass student-led protests in August 2024, faces charges of crimes against humanity. Charges against former officials will also be heard. The tribunal was originally set up to try 1971 war criminals.
