Bank Nifty on Monday opened above the 60,000 mark for the first time ever, surging to an early trading high of 60,114.05. At the time of writing, the index is trading 0.4% higher, extending last week’s record-setting rally. State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Bank of Baroda, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Axis Bank were top gainers in early trade.
