Reacting to Karnataka government's decision to invite Booker Prize-winning author Banu Mushtaq to inaugurate Mysuru Dasara festival, BJP leader Prathap Simha said Banu should not lead a Hindu religious event. "Does she have faith in Chamundeshwari Devi?" he asked. "It's inappropriate for a person whose faith is uncertain to preside over...religious ceremony," BJP's CT Ravi said.
