Mysuru royal family's titular head and BJP MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar said that the Karnataka government inviting Booker Prize-winning author Banu Mushtaq to inaugurate the Mysuru Dasara festival violates the "Dharmic tradition" of India. "They should know...they're playing with the sentiments of people but they shouldn’t insult the person they've called already," Yaduveer stated.
