A Basic Services Demat Account (BSDA) is a cost-effective Demat account by SEBI for small investors. From September'24, the holding limit is ₹10 lakh. AMC is nil for holdings up to ₹4 lakh and capped at ₹100 for ₹4 to ₹10 lakh. Only one BSDA is allowed per person; exceeding ₹10 lakh converts it to a regular Demat account.
