The Election Commission of India (ECI) has directed the state chief electoral officers (CEOs) to be ready for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) by September 30. The CEOs are instructed to keep voter lists of their states, published after the last SIR, ready. The poll body is expected to begin nationwide SIR in October-November.
