Jagpal Singh Phogat, an ex-Haryana teacher, started beekeeping in 2001 despite opposition from his family. Within a month, he produced 25 tins of honey, earning more than wheat farming. He quit teaching in 2007 to focus on beekeeping and later trained over 500 farmers. Today, with his son, he sells honey and byproducts, achieving an annual turnover of ₹2 crore.
