Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and France's Safran Electronics & Defence have signed a joint venture cooperation agreement to locally manufacture the combat-proven HAMMER precision-guided air-to-ground weapon in India. The 50:50 JV will boost Make-in-India, with localisation rising to 60% through phased transfer of production.
