Talking about the stampede that killed 11 outside Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, former India head coach Rahul Dravid said, "Bengaluru is a really sports-passionate city. I come from here." He added, "So really sad, very unfortunate what happened. And our thoughts go out to everyone who was injured, and especially to those who lost their lives."
