A symbolic photo exhibition and a replica prison gate were set up near Town Hall in Bengaluru to depict the suppression of civil liberties during the Emergency. Organized by Citizens for Social Justice, the display aimed to educate the public on the authoritarian actions under Indira Gandhi’s rule and spark debate on democratic values.
