A Bengaluru tenant claimed his landlord, an ex-Armyman, was refusing to return his ₹2.6-lakh deposit for a 3.5BHK home he'd rented for ₹55,000/month. He said the landlord kept coming up with expenses for maintaining the house that he'd deduct from the deposit. He said he finally e-mailed Defence Ministry and landlord's Army regiment, following which he returned the full deposit.
