A 48-year-old Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) employee allegedly died by suicide after being harassed and cheated of ₹11 lakh by a man posing as a CBI officer in a digital arrest scam. In a purported note, Kumara K claimed the accused demanded ₹2.75 lakh more. Kumara's wife alleged he appeared visibly frightened and distressed while speaking on the phone.
