Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, representing Delhi Police, has opposed bail pleas of Umar Khalid, Sharjeel Imam and other accused in 2020 Delhi riots "larger conspiracy" case before Delhi High Court. "If you're doing something against the nation, then you better be in jail till you are acquitted or convicted," he stated. The court has reserved its order on bail applications.
