While speaking at UNGA, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said, "Bharat will always maintain its freedom of choice." He stated that India's approach is guided by three concepts of 'atmanirbharta' (self-reliance), 'atmaraksha' (self-defence) and 'atmavishwas' (self-confidence). His remarks come amid US President Donald Trump's additional tariffs on India and the hike in H1B visa fees.
