The Thane Metro Project progressed after bids for the construction work of a 20 km viaduct for the Thane Integral Ring Metro Project were issued by the Maha-Metro. The Thane Integral Ring Metro Project is a 29-kilometre corridor along the western periphery of Thane city, including 22 stations costing an amount of ₹1,422 crore.
