Biggest issue for Indian startups is a lack of adequate domestic capital due to restrictive regulations of the government, said former Infosys CFO Mohandas Pai. "China invested $835 billion in startups...between 2014-2024...US invested $2.32 trillion...while we invested...$160 billion...of which...80% came from overseas," Pai added. He called for policy reforms to strengthen the startup ecosystem.
