Bihar has achieved 100% electrification of its railway tracks, fully electrifying its broad gauge railway network. This will reduce carbon dioxide emissions and will also enhance speed, the Ministry of Railways said. "[Bihar is] progressing towards Indian Railways’ target of becoming a Net Zero Carbon Emitter," it added. The Indian Railway aims to become 'net zero carbon emitter' by 2030.
