Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Monday announced that teacher recruitment in the state will give preference to candidates who are residents of Bihar. The move comes ahead of the Assembly elections scheduled for later this year. "This will be implemented from Teachers' Recruitment Exam-4 (TRE-4) onwards," Kumar said on X (formerly Twitter), adding that TRE-4 will be held in 2025.
