Bihar's Congress unit protested against the state government's alleged decision to lease 1,050 acres of land in Bhagalpur to the Adani Group for 33 years at a token rate of ₹1 per year. The land is to be used for setting up a 2400 MW thermal power plant. Congress alleged that the deal amounts to "mortgaging Bihar's future to Adani".
