The Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government has formed a commission for the development of upper castes, a statement released on Thursday said. The commission will have BJP leader Mahachandra Prasad Singh as its chairperson and JD(U)'s national spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Prasad as the vice-chairman. This move comes just months before Bihar is slated to host its Assembly elections.
