Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Saturday announced increase in pensions for eligible journalists under 'Bihar Patrakaar Samman Pension Scheme'. "Instructions have been given...to provide a monthly pension of ₹15,000 instead of ₹6,000," he stated. He added that in the event of death of a journalist receiving pension, their dependent spouse will receive ₹10,000/month instead of ₹3,000 for their lifetime.
